I have some mixed feelings about receiving money for the (further) development of BT-control. It has been fun to develop the tool in my own time and it was aimed for my own usage. When I started to use it at my work colleagues got interested, so then I improved the installation so I did not have to do that for them ;-|
Thereafter it sort of got a life of its own. I received comments and started to introduce 'improvements', at some point somebody launched it on the internet. That was not the most recent version, so I started my own site. At some point you show up in the search machines, and your provider blocks access to your site because of >1G download.
I received strong hints regarding 'receiving money' for the tool. It is not that simple I think, payment via internet requires various intermediaries. They charge a certain cost which raises the price to a level that I do not like.
In the European union they recently introduced an international money transfer method that has a quite low transfer costs. At least from the Netherlands to other countries. Here are the numbers if you want to sponsor further development; IBAN=NL33PSTB0002292224 and bank BIC=PSTBNL21 and the account belongs to J.G.M. van der Meer. In the Netherlands giro account 2292224 can be used.
I also setup a PayPal variant for people that prefer that method.
